APBDRF is pleased to share with you our first fundraiser held on June 22, 2017. We are grateful to Brown Harris Stevens for the donation of their space. The event honored the photography of Robert Zuckerman, Board member of APBDRF and patient.
 
The silent auction included Robert's photographs as well as those of Hank Plyler. All proceeds were donated to benefit research of APBD.
 
None of this could have happened without the financial support of George Fox and Andrew Miranda of Titan Advisors, the incredible devotion of Rosanne Lucarelli Miranda, Robert Dienes and Jeremy Murphy in making this event come to fruition, and the hard working volunteers: Rachel Dushey, Simon Markovitch, Carol Green and their team of greeters and packers.

Donations to the Silent Auction included:
Dinner at L'Amico, Coach, Betsy Hotel, Sex and City and Gossip girls tours, Contagious Comedy, Golf certificates, Dance with me Soho.
On the research front:
Dr. Or Kakhlon, Prof. Amiram Goldblum, from the Hebrew University and Prof. Miguel Weil from Tel Aviv University have received a 1.24 M NIS ($347,000) grant from the Israel Ministry of Science and Technology to study Multi-targeting drug discovery and image-based phenotyping as new strategies for treating glycogen storage disorders.
